When Suri Cruise is older than your sport, you know you’ve only just begun. And that’s the case with trike drifting, a new pastime that appears to have originated in New Zealand a few years back, and involves gutsy adventurers riding their customized motorless three-wheeled machines down steep hills while occasionally challenging the laws of physics.

Arizona-based Local Motors is looking to simplify the process of getting back up the hill and bring joy to any flatland-living thrillseekers with its new creation, the electric-powered Verrado. A MagicPie 3-hub brushless motor and lithium cobalt manganese battery get the 20-inch front wheel in motion, and Local Motors says each 3-hour charge should yield about 45 minutes of ride time. A pair of 5-inch steel rear wheels are fitted with 10-inch karting tires, and the disc brakes with regenerative braking round out the $1,560 Kickstarter package.
