The explosion of craft beer in recent years has led to a lot of experimentation on the brewing scene, and we’re definitely not complaining. The latest creation comes to us in the form of Flying Dog’s Mint Chocolate Stout.

The Maryland based brewery has concocted what could be one of the greatest dessert beers around. The brew was inspired by the chocolate mint herb grown in the brand’s staff garden, and has seen both peppermint and cocoa added to the mix post-fermentation.  Flying Dog utilized caramel, chocolate, black roasted barley, flaked oats, and midnight wheat malts with Perle hops and Whitbread yeast to create what we’ll refer to as heaven in a glass. Clocking in at 5.7% ABV means you can definitely come back for seconds without getting too messed up. Make sure you get a bottle son though, because this limited edition Brewhouse Rarities beer won’t last long. [Purchase]
