Up until today, lakes had primarily been known for fishing, swimming, and giving people the willies when their feet touched the slimy bottom. We’re happy to report you can now add skateboarding to the list.

In collaboration with Visit California, the state’s official tourism agency, pro skater Bob Burnquist and his crew of innovative designers have created an amazing skate ramp that weighs 7,300 lbs., yet floats steadily on the calm blue waters of Lake Tahoe. The project took 300 man hours, 1,250 screws, and sure, there were probably a few more wet T-shirts on guys whom you don’t normally want to see wet T-shirts on, but they got it done. There’s even a little ramp to send Bob soaring into the water. What the hell, one more pair of wet man nips won’t kill ya.
