The British tuners at Kahn Design have treated us to a handful of Land Rover Defenders over the years, and why would 2014 be any different? This time around the shop unveils what they are calling the “fastest Land Rover on the planet.”

The Land Rover Defender ‘Chelsea Longnose’ gets it name from the extended engine bay and wheelbase, and it’s that engine that has us overly excited about this off-roader. Sure the Defender is one of, if not our favorite SUV of all time, but that V8 motor pumping out 495 horsepower through a 6-speed electronic gearbox makes this thing impossible not to love. Other upgrades include 20-inch wheels, front bumper with built-in LED lights, crosshair headlamps, hand trimmed racing seats, sports steering wheel, and a whole lot more. The Defender 90 based vehicle will sell for roughly $148,000, and will be limited to only 49 units in the UK.
