If you’re the kind of gamer who doesn’t need the newest console when it comes out, but when you do get around to making your choice, you want the best machine available, and it doesn’t matter who makes it, keep your eyes on the Alienware Steam Machine. Unveiled this week at CES 2014 in Vegas, this shiny black and blue beast promises to be the baddest gaming PC (meant for your living room) when it goes on sale later this year.

Valve, the company behind the Steam operating system, has green lit 14 different manufacturers to create Steam Machines, but only this one from Alienware prompts Valve founder Gabe Newell to call it “the full potential of what a Steam Machine should be.” We know there will be an Intel CPU and NVIDIA GPU inside this glowing box of gaming goodness, but for now, that’s all Alienware is saying about it. Stay tuned. [Purchase]
