It looks like Dodge didn’t take too nicely to the track results reported by the folks at Motor Trend when they pinned Chevy’s Corvette against Dodge’s flagship vehicle. The brand’s answer? The 2014 Dodge SRT Viper TA.

During the Motor Trend track shootout between the Viper GTS and the Corvette ZR1, Chevy came out the winner, and  now Dodge is determined to redeem themselves with the SRT Viper TA. The TA stands for “Time Attack,” and this thing has been revamped to ensure it can hold its own on the track. The vehicle features a lower curb weight, track tuned suspension, brakes and even steering. The R&D team believed the stock engine from the SRT Viper was good enough, and it looks like they were right as this thing has shed a couple tenths of a second clocking a zero to 60 time of 3.3 seconds. The vehicle will be ultra limited this year, with only 33 vehicles being produced. All of the 2014 models will be sporting this Orange Crush paint job seen in the photos.
