Our problem with many of these “urban commuter” cars is the fact that they throw all performance and aesthetics out the window in the name of “eco-consciousness.” The folks at Renault decided to re-imagine the typical single seater with their Formula 1 racing inspired Renault Twizy Sport F1 Concept.

This electric city car features all of the same benefits of other urban commuters, including the compact size, but was inspired by Renault’s F1 race cars. Utilizing the brand’s Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS), this 100 horsepower beast zips to 60 miles per hour as quickly as the brand’s Megane R.S. road car. The design aesthetics are straight from the F1 models right down to the slick racing tires, rear wing, and even F1 style rain light. Unfortunately this car will more than likely end up being shelved next to the other concept cars we know will never make it to the assembly line.
