If the 2013 Yamaha YZF-R1 looks a bit familiar, that’s because it is. The Japanese bike maker chose to leave the design aesthetics untouched for the most part from the 2012 model, and it looks like this strategy will be paying off for Yamaha.

The brand has decided to introduce an array of exterior paint options to help your bike stand out which include a Matte Gray, Rapid Red, and Raven color, and of course the white and Team Yamaha Blue are still available as well. The bike is equipped with a 998cc, liquid cooled four stroke motor paired with a 6 speed transmission. The bike R1 will be hitting showrooms later this month with a sticker tag of $14,290.
