German luxury auto maker BMW looks to expand their range of Sport Utility Vehicles with the stateside debut of the 2013 BMW X1.

The 2013 BMW X1 is packed with a 2.0 liter TwinPower Turbo 4 cylinder engine that pumps out 240 horsepower along with 260 lb-ft of torque. These numbers are quite powerful for a four cylinder, and BMW will also be offering the X1 in a 6 cylinder version putting down 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. The smaller SUV offering will start at around $31,000 ranging all the way to about $40,000 USD.
