2007 Husqvarna SM 610 ‘McQueen’ By Hageman Cycles

Probably no actor is more associated with high-octane thrills than the late, great Steve McQueen. And one of the brands most closely tied to the King of Cool is Husqvarna — thanks to the appearance of his personal 400 Cross model in the motorcycle documentary, On Any Sunday. As a tribute to that legendary bike, custom builder Greg Hageman has just unveiled this stunning 2007 SM 610 tribute.

Dripping with the now-retro style of McQueen’s own bike, this masterful homage is picture perfect — from the red gas tank to the yellow number plates on its sides. Of course, while this new bike certainly looks the part, it also doesn’t suffer from the negatives of its predecessors, instead boasting a street-legal edition built around modern tech. Of course, it’s not without period-appropriate parts, infusing just about everything from the tank back from a 400 Cross (including the tank itself, the frame, the seat, and the fenders). There are still modern touches, however, like the LED lighting, integrated turn signals, Brembo brakes, and a Keihin FCR carburetor. From tip to tail, this is a tribute bike we’re sure the King of Cool would be happy to ride.
