If there’s one thing that was worth taking away from the first live-action Transformers movie, it was the cool vehicles. Now, one of those vehicles, the 1992 Peterbilt Transformers Optimus Prime Stunt Truck, is up for auction.

In order to get the look the filmmakers wanted, an entire team of artists worked hard to conceptualize numerous trucks and cars, trying to find the right look for each transformer. Finally, someone drew something based on the enormous Peterbilt tractor that caught Michael Bay’s attention, regardless of the fact that Bay knew longtime fans of the franchise would initially hate it. He didn’t care — the truck was simply cool-looking, and Bay could use it as a nod to Steven Spielberg’s Duel. The truck has a deep blue base with red flames coming from the front. Of course, the auction warns that the mega-monster might not be emissions compliant in all 50 states, and that the truck is being sold “as-is.” [Purchase]
