Porsche recently celebrated their 70th anniversary. They released a coffee table book, held a beautiful pageant of legendary cars, came out with their own watch, among other things to commemorate seven decades of dominance. An auction of some of the greatest Porsches in existence will soon take place on Sotheby’s, and among that collection is a beautiful red 1985 Porsche 959 prototype.
One of only 12 Porsche 959 prototypes ever made, the 1985 959 prototype is one of the most important Porsches ever made. This dark red, glimmering example is referred to as F7, meaning it’s the 7th of the series produced. Built with Komfort specs, the Ruby Red exterior and Triple Silver interior remain in pristine condition from its manufacture date, more than 30 years ago. The F7 is expected to sell for between $1.3 million and $1.6 million.
