With a penchant for building custom motorcycles that exist in a realm of their own, East Coast workshop Classified Moto rarely gets anything wrong. Their bikes are burly, fast, and function on their own wavelength of creativity. So when a 4×4 enthusiast came to them for a meaty custom build, the classified crew had no problem whipping this pretty puppy from a 1982 Yamaha XV920R.
Dubbed the Shreveport Slammer, this muscle bike received some handsome upgrades over the course of the build. We’re talking a front end, front wheel and front brakes from a 2010 Yamaha YZF-R6, a rear shock courtesy of a 2008 Kawasaki KLR650, and a 2002 Honda CB750 nighthawk rear wheel for added aggression. The tank comes in part from a Benelli Mojave 360, and the bike boasts a custom upholstered seat and stainless exhaust for good measure. Pepper in the fact that the Shreveport Slammer now rides atop a Metzler ME880 front tire and an Avon Supermoto wet rear tire and you have one hell of a sweet bike for one lucky customer.
