If you’re an off-road enthusiast odds are you’ve probably heard of the Copperstate Overland, a rally created for vintage 4×4 fans that occurs once a year in the deserts of Arizona. Well, you’re looking at one of the Copperstate’s most prized possessions: a 1981Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43. Completely restored and beautified by Miami-based FJ Company, this truck is prepped and ready for this year’s main event, but not before first heading to auction.
To prepare the Toyota, The FJ Company rebuilt the original 2F engine, power steering, and front disk brakes. A new carburetor was installed, along with a starter engine, pumps, and an upgraded aluminum radiator. And as an added safety touch the Land Cruiser now boasts a custom roll cage, a fire extinguishing system and the Corbeau MOAB seats with 4-point seat belts. There’s also a new Old Man Emu suspension, 5-speed manual transmission and LED headlights that finish off this well-rounded restoration. The Land Cruiser is set for auction at this year’s Gooding & Company’s Pebble Beach Auction this August with the winning bidder also gaining access to this year’s Copperstate Overland in October. Someone’s about to have quite to enjoyable fall this year that’s for sure. [Purchase]
