1978 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 Sky Blue by FJ Company
The exterior design of Toyota’s 1978 Land Cruiser has stood the test of time. In fact it’s a vehicle that becomes even more beautiful with each passing year. And every time the team at FJ Company gets a hold of one of these beauties, we’re in for a real treat.
The FJ Company received the car in mid-2015, and following its arrival, the car was put through a concours-quality restoration. The most notable upgrade is the Sky Blue paint job and white hard-top, which is a major difference when compared to the original’s tan exterior. Inside, the roll bar was repainted, and the car received new door panels, dash pads and headliner. The seats were re-upholstered in grey, and the windows were removed, reinstalled, and resealed. Quite a number of original parts were gutted and replaced with OEM parts, and a new Old Man Emu suspension was added. The FJ40 will be up for auction at RM Sotheby in Arizona in January 2016.
