Range Rover Classic Reborn

Break out the checkbooks. Land Rover is unveiling their re-issued Range Rover at Salon Retromobile 2017 this month. It’s the next release in Land Rover’s “Reborn” series, now offering interested buyers the chance to purchase a classic 1978 Range Rover straight from Land Rover Classic U.K. Doesn’t get much more desirable than this.

Outfitted in Bahama Gold and boasting a 3528cc V8 under the hood, this beauty will be offered in a limited series of only ten editions. Land Rover plans to make the off-road tribute a three-door vehicle that pushes out 132bhp and 186 lb-ft of torque. Controlling it all is, of course, a four-speed manual transmission and a lockable central differential for enhanced backcountry capability. Each vehicle will go through an intensive restoration to the original 1970s specs as well before arriving to each buyer and Land Rover also plans to accommodate any special modifications or desired chassis numbers for the interested collector as well. Prices start at $169,000. [Purchase]
