This Vibrant 1974 Land Rover Series III Is Built Atop A Hand-Painted Frame

Despite the space becoming more and more inundated with restomod and customs outfits specializing in vintage Land Rover builds, Falcon Design Germany has managed to stand out from the increasingly oversaturated crowd with stunning, meticulously detailed builds born out of complete nut and bolt restorations. Case in point, the Munich custom shop’s “Miami Edition” LR Series III.

Powered by a 2.25L inline-four engine, the Miami Edition Defender is based on a 1974 model year donor and features a white steel body juxtaposed by aqua green trim and a matching aqua green custom-upholstered interior with white piping. Taking inspiration from the ’66 Series 2A LWB that Deus Ex Machina built in collaboration with CoolNVintage in the summer of 2019, this ’74 Series III is built atop a galvanized frame that’s been hand-painted by a myriad of artists using colors and designs that evoke the spirit of the Dade County city such as tropical fowl, ice-cream cones, palm trees, and pineapples.
