Building an adventure ready rig can be an adventure in itself, especially when basing the project on a vintage framework. Recently, Iron and Resin commissioned a build to New Legend 4×4 and set out to build their ultimate adventuremobile from a 1972 International Scout II.

Cleaning up the Scout to restore its former glory was the first objective for the build, with Iron and Resin requesting to keep as much of the natural patina as possible for the true vintage look. New Legend stuck to the game plan and did a full mechanical resto before dumping in a 5.3-Liter LS3 and 4-speed automatic transmission, giving the International modern driving performance under the classic exterior. I & R went to work with their signature materials for the interior of the cabin, opting for waxed canvas seat coverings and wool blanket textile for door paneling. The build was capped off with a roof rack from Front Runner Outfitters and a RakAttach Arm Moto Mount, ensuring this rig will be ready for any adventure you have in mind.

Purchase: $62,000
