1967 Volkswagen ‘That 70s Show’ Samba Van
That ‘70s Show launched a lot of careers. Actors like Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, and Topher Grace all got their first big starts as characters on the show. Another notable player who might also be getting a boost the T.V. series? The 1967 Volkswagen ‘That ‘70s Show’ Samba Van.
The lime-green van appeared first in season 4 when Ashton Kutcher’s character Kelso won it in a contest. It then stayed on as his trusted Love Wagon until it careened off a cliff towards the later half of the 6th season. Thankfully, it didn’t actually get driven into a ravine. In fact, the bus recently had its tires replaced, and its brakes and engine serviced ahead of its upcoming auction in Palm Beach on April 14th. The van with its big windows, sun roof, and its still functioning 1600cc 4-cylinder engine and 4-speed manual transmission are expected to break records when the gavel falls in large part because of its roll on the show. The van will come with a That ’70s Show tote bag signed by much of the cast.
