1967 Shelby GT500 By Revology
Most of the time, we’re firm believers that replica vehicles belong in movies and TV and not so much on the roads. The fact is, their inauthenticity is a little too smoke-and-mirrors for our tastes. That being said, Revology has just unveiled an official Ford-licensed replica of the 1967 Shelby GT500 that will make even the firmest detractors shove their feet right into their mouths.
Just the fact that this bad boy looks the part should be enough for most. If it’s not, however, there’s some other news that might: this version is actually more powerful than the original vehicle. In fact, under the hood, you’ll find a ROUSH Performance supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine that pumps out an impressive 600 horsepower and 475 foot-pounds of torque. It will also feature a/c; improvements to the suspension, electrical system, cooling, and driveline; and other modern conveniences such as keyless entry and an automatic transmission. Truly, what you’re actually getting here, is a gorgeous aesthetically-recreated Shelby GT500, but with all-around better performance and amenities. It might not be for purists, but this $219,000 muscle car is nonetheless as badass as they come.
