Different cultures call it different names – the Transporter, Kombi, Micro Bus, or Camper – but a Volkswagen Type 2 by any other name would still look as sweet.

We’ve spotted one of these iconic vehicles, and it’s going up for auction on September 9. Better yet, this is one of the rare and highly sought-after 21-Window Micro Buses, giving you as many windows as there are gunshots during a military salute. This particular bus was delivered new to Rome, Italy, and it still has its original Rome license plate, which was first registered on April 1, 1965. It was recently restored to its original condition, or as good as you can get when you’ve 28,542 kilometers on you. A red/white two-tone model like this is often valued around $100,000, so if you want this one, you know what it’ll take. [Purchase]
