1961 Honda Super Cub ‘Firefly’ by Deus Ex Machina

What a way for Deus Japan’s Director of Motorcycle Operations to start things off on his end. Here, it’s Matthew Roberts’ first build with Deus – a 1961 Honda Super Cab – that really pushes the limits of Deus’ portfolio and reputation as an aftermarket powerhouse for custom motorcycles.

Dubbed the “Firefly,” profile shots of this small capacity ride present handsome low and long lines from beginning to end, with the exception of the Oxblood red leather seat. The bike also boasts a modified frame and epoxy composite body to help shave off a couple lbs while the fuel cell, battery, coil, and electrics are all neatly tucked along the bike’s slim spine. Additionally, it rides atop a set of Japanese DID alloy rims and features a handful of upgrades such as an alloy top bridge, rear set foot controls, and adjustable alloy race shocks. To top it all off, the bike debuted and recently exceeded expectations in the Battle of the Bottom Link racing series as well.
