We’ve seen an astonishing resurgence of well-kept Willys Jeeps over the past few years, and judging by the show-lists that have been revealed for a number of upcoming, high-profile auctions, the onslaught of the collectible military vehicle shows no signs of slowing. This 1947 Willys CJ2A, in particular, has us brainstorming for a way to procure an additional space in the garage.

The impeccably restored 1947 Willys CJ2A before you is the product of a complete tub restoration, small aesthetic upgrades that channel the Jeep’s nostalgic history as an overlanding vehicle, and a number of one-off peripherals that give the vehicle a character all its own. A rope-wrapped front fender, axe carrying platform, and an era-specific jerrycan mounting point give the truck a capable visage — and with only 22,000 original miles on the odometer, the CJ2A has seen minimal road use over the course of its life. As for the powerplant, the military transport vehicle houses an L-134 Go-Devil engine alongside a durable three-speed transmission that was utilized by the original CJ-2A in its transition toward civilian use. To round out the classic offering, a handsome green and yellow paint combination has been applied to the CJ2A’s restored exterior.

Purchase: $19,000
