Kickstarter brands are a dime a dozen. Often more marketing gimmick than lasting company, these companies come and go so frequently it isn’t even worth keeping track. So it was refreshing, then, to see a brand like Remote Equipment’s Alpha 31 pack come across our desk.
Designed in Berkley, California and manufactured up in Washington state, the bag is a thoroughly west-coast affair. Its design, however, is intended to anticipate a whole lot more than just a bit of sunshine and a little rain. Made from a tough composite x-pack fabric, waterproof zippers, and a featuring weather-resistant roll top design – it’s more than ready for taking on whatever you come across in your travels. But more than being tough, the pack is full of convenient features. For faster access, it has a front panel zipper, along with a secret compartment for storing valuables, a 15-inch laptop sleeve, and a design that accommodates up to a 3L hydration sleeve. And that’s just scratching the surface. Right now you can pick these up in either black or camo.
