Dyson Cyclone V10

In 1987 James Dyson set out on a crusade. The industrial Designer from the U.K. wanted to create cleaning equipment that wasn’t so heavy, inefficient, and hard to use. Now, with the release of the Dyson Cyclone V10, it looks as if his mission is close to being complete.

Unveiled just recently by Dyson at an event in New York, this cordless vacuum cleaner boasts a hefty 290 ‘Air Watts’ of power and features a brush that rotates at up to 125,000 RPM for sucking up all kinds of dirt and grime off the floor and carpet. And despite weighing in at just 7 pounds, it can run for up to an hour without fading or losing its charge. But this thing is for more than just cleaning your carpet and floor. Thanks to its compact size, you can turn it into a handheld vacuum for getting all that cat hair off the couch or the bagel drums from out your car seat. It’ll cost you, though. The vacuum is available now for $700.
