Range Rover Chieftain

With the current trend of insane resto mods on early Land Rovers, Jensen Automotive International of England was feeling a bit left out of the scene. They decided to diverge from the trend of blown out Defenders and instead executed a beautiful build with their Range Rover Classic Chieftain.

The project started with a 1993 Range Rover Classic body being was fused to a modified Discovery III chassis. This upgrade provides four wheel independent air suspension, a welcome substitution to the dated coil bucket suspension of the Classic. Jensen then dropped in a humongous 6.2-Liter supercharged V8 from LSA, feeding 556 hp and 551 lb•ft of torque to the 4×4. The exterior was finished with bumpers and side skirts from GRP and a bespoke set of 20-inch wheels designed in period styling. Inside the cabin of the Chieftain impressive styling continues with a hand crafted leather interior, added navigation display, and one-off gear shifting lever, all elements specified to provide the luxury yacht atmosphere intended for the build.
