Having a big brother that is a prestigious record breaker can be lifelong torture, even enough pressure to push little bro off the scene completely. After seven long years of hiding out of sight, Ford Motor Company has announced that their midsize Ranger will be returning to their US model lineup in 2019, badder and better than ever.
With production for the American market halting in 2011 due to the F-150 holding supreme rights as king of Ford pickups, the Ranger ‘T6’ had been developed by their Australian subsidiary for sale in international arenas. The 2019 Ranger in the US will be largely similar to the truck sold internationally, but with considerations made for American consumers in the way of aggressive styling, powertrain mods, and modern interior accommodations. Taking this time off to learn about consumers needs, Ford is positioning this pickup for urban dwellers that will be using the truck to get to work as opposed to using it for work. Drivers will get their choice between three trim levels and the optional FX4 off-road package, allowing the Ranger to be the perfect fit for each user.
