1937 White Motor Co. Yellowstone Park Tour Bus

Generally, when we hear the word “bus,” the Greyhound or large-yellow school varieties are what comes to mind. Well, the one you see before you is certainly yellow, but it’s a different beast entirely. That’s because this 1937 White Motor Company bus was used in Yellowstone National Park for tours. And now it’s headed to auction.

Yes, this is an actual vintage people carrier that was used to ferry folks to the hot spots all around the magnificent landscapes of Yellowstone prior to and following WWII. Now, it’s a retired antique – but in amazing condition. With 12 seats across four benches, this magnificent creature is powered by a 6-cylinder flathead motor (the mainstay of most makers prior to World War II), has a large canvas top that can be removed on warmer days, and has a spacious cargo compartment in the back. Whether you’re a collector seeking a unique classic or you and 12 friends want to go on a magical mystery tour, you can do it in this bad boy if you pony up the dough at RM Sotheby’s Hershey, PA auction in October.
