People love museums because they bring us closer to our past. We can read all we like about x, y, or z historical event – but nothing really gives you that visceral connection better than actually looking at an object with your own eyes. This is something that Mini Museum tapped into years ago with their first acrylic encased museum. Now, the same team is back with their Mini Museum Third Edition.
Set in a 5″ x 4″ x 1″ block, this desktop museum displays 29 different rare and noteworthy pieces ranging from recent moments to ones billions of years old. The small collection features samples like a piece of Steve Jobs’ turtleneck, an SR-71 blackbird, and bits from a WWII Enigma machine. Because no museum is complete without a guided tour, each set comes complete with a booklet full of information of each of the objects encased in the lucite acrylic box. Don’t want to go all out? No worries – the third edition also comes with a smaller, 4,3,1-inch cube with fewer picks.
