It has long been the case that Mac is king when it comes to high-end laptops. But not everybody is onboard with the brand’s proprietary technologies and operating system. Some people are still tried-and-true PC fans who live and breathe Windows. And we’ve got some good news for those folks, because Microsoft has just announced a new entry in their line of Surface products: a laptop.
Although its closer in size to a netbook, measuring up at just 13.5 inches, the Surface Laptop is no less a fully-featured computer – offered with a range of 4-16GB of RAM; an Intel Core i5 or i7; and either a 128, 256, or 512GB SSD hard drive. So what makes this one different? For starters, it’s equipped to run Microsoft’s new Windows 10 S operating system. It also comes standard with the thinnest LCD touchscreen to ever be mounted in a laptop. And, just as a little added bonus, it’s fitted with a super soft fabric alcantara keyboard and comes in four color ways. Preorders for this premium laptop are starting at $999.
