East Coast Defender is back with another brilliantly beastly Land Rover build and we couldn’t be happier. Especially because the Florida-based customizers have infused this one with a little local style on top of their already brass-balled flair. And they’ve appropriately dubbed her ‘The Huntress.’
As you might guess, the donor vehicle for this project was a Land Rover Defender 130, but they’ve taken the beefy pickup-bedded SUV to the next level, dropping in a 430-horsepower 6.2-Liter Chevrolet LS3 V8 engine with a six speed automatic transmission. They also lifted her by 2 inches, slapped on a set of 18 inch Boost wheels and BFGoodrich tires, and mounted a tubular WARN winch on the front end. The local style we mentioned comes in the form of the interior’s pair of locally-sourced alligator skin seats – which promise to only look better with age and wear. And they’re mated with brown leather accents throughout the cab, as well as a custom Morel amplified speaker system and a fully loaded Kenwood infotainment rig. It’s a shame that the Huntress is already spoken for, because we’d love to get our hands on her.
