With every passing hour at work each and every one of us is one step closer to that sweet, sweet moment at the end of the day when a new adventure can begin. We all know the feeling. One door shuts while another one simultaneously opens. A good whisky can have that effect, and Discommon Goods’ Lowball 2: The Pinch Tumbler is here to make sure each and every sip is enjoyed and cherished.
Obviously a departure from the widely accepted crystal glass whiskey tumblers, the Lowball takes inspiration from traditional snifters. However, each Lowball uses a CNC Lathe to cut an hourglass internal shape into the piece for a classic silhouette while the exterior surface of the aerospace-grade aluminum tumbler boasts carefully machined divots for enhanced grip and comfort while sipping. And for those who may think this is a bit excessive, consider the effort that goes into preparing a 30-year vintage whisky. Shouldn’t a drinking vessel, then, deserve the same treatment? Check out the video below for a more detailed look at the process.
