For a long time now in BMW’s line of M4 cars, there has been a pretty big gap. That gap, of course, is between the M4 Performance Package coupe and the more track-focused M4 GTS. Finally, however, the brand is making a move to close that space by introducing a new vehicle to fit squarely in-between the two cars. And it’s called the M4 CS.
This new special-edition coupe is set to start selling roughly in the $125,000 range – so it’s a little on the high side of the Performance Package-GTS gap. That being said, the performance specs it is offering certainly help take the bite out of the price tag. The CS is to be loaded with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 capable of a whopping 460 horsepower – only 33 shy of the GTS. That engine also helps it get from 0-62 in just 3.9 seconds and gives it an electronically limited top speed of 174 mph. And all of that power is available through several different driving modes at the push of a button thanks to the brand’s Dynamic Stability Control system. You’ll have to stay tuned for a release date, however, as BMW has yet to announce it.
