2015 Kawasaki Vulcan ‘Dethgrip’ By Icon 1000

A tell-tale sign of a bike workshop that excels at their craft comes in the form of a final product that’s unrecognizable from its original marque. Case-in-point, this hellish ride from Portland-based Icon 1000 based off Kawasaki’s entry-level cruiser: the Vulcan 650 S. Somehow, someway this talented group of builders managed to turn an ordinarily vanilla ride into a futuristic and nefarious dirt tracker dubbed the Dethgrip. Bravo.

Clearly, all the bodywork was redone, out of sheet metal no less, except for the fuel tank which managed to make the cut and therefore stayed put. The bike also features two adjustable Nitron shocks in the front and one in the rear, a set of custom housings containing PIAA LED driving lights at the bottom of the forks, and it rides atop 19-inch Harley Davidson wheels wrapped within Maxxis DTR-1 tires. Also outfitted on the Dethgrip is an Akrapovic muffler and a handful of upgrades to the brakes as well. Simply stunning in a deathwish kind of way.
