With an office full of cycling commuters, you better believe that we were head over heels when Taylor Stitch announced yesterday that they were coming out with a new Commuter Jacket. Part of the Civic Collection, this is a way for the brand to start targeting urban dwellers that may typically reside outside of the more outdoors-y clientele TS markets to.
Made from 100% MerinoPerform WP this thing promises to be both wind and water resistant no matter how harsh the weather. Merino wool is already a fantastic material for regulating temperature, but this special version of the fabric is constructed at high thread density, wet-finished and stretch released – making for an incredibly tightly finished product that seals out the elements while remaining breathable. In addition to cutting this jacket from a versatile organic fabric, the team at Taylor Stitch included a 3M reflective detailing along the bottom hem, a vent across the back for air flow, and gave the entire thing an athletic fit that doesn’t look too technical. That is something that seems hard to come by nowadays. These are available now for pre-sale starting at $248. [Purchase]
