Any way you look at it, Aston Martin has solidified their rank. They are, without a doubt, one of the most influential car makers of all time. And one of the vehicles that earned them that spot is the Vanquish. And although it didn’t necessarily need it, the brand has taken it upon themselves to update their most recent iteration of this legendary luxury Super GT. They’ve dubbed it the Vanquish S.
Knowing that bigger isn’t always better, the S’s improvements are well considered. You might even call them modest. Still, the differences are notable. For instance, the 6.0L V12 engine has been equipped with a “revised, freer-breathing intake system,” resulting in a jump in horsepower from 565 to 592 – giving it a new 0-62 time of just 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 201 mph. It’s also fitted with an 8-speed Touchtronic III Transmission and quad-exhaust tailpipes. But the tweaks aren’t strictly engine-related. It also has a Bang & Olufsen stereo stystem and a AMi III Infotainment system with all-new satellite navigation. With deliveries commencing in December of this year, the Vanquish S starts at $312,950. [Purchase]
