Microsoft Surface Studio All-In-One PC

While touchscreen tech is nothing new to computer industry giant Microsoft – they’ve been working on and releasing such devices for nearly a decade – their most successful Surface line of touchscreen PCs has been relegated entirely to those that are portable, such as laptops and tablets. Well, all that is about to change with the announcement of their impending release of a desktop called the Surface Studio.

For starters, this PC sports a 28-inch PixelSense Display, offering 13.5 million visible pixels paired with an insane 1100:1 contrast ratio. It’s also the world’s thinnest LCD touchscreen ever made and is housed in an extra tough forged aluminum enclosure. The display can also be adjusted from an upright position to a more ergonomic reclined position for when you are using the touchscreen for games, art, or otherwise. The guts are equipped with quad-core 6th generation Intel Core processors, an NVIDIA GeForce GPU with up to 4GB of GDDR5 memory, and an up to 2 terabyte hard drive. It also comes with a simple stylus and the Surface Dial, a new “wireless rotational peripheral with adaptive haptic feedback and 3,600 points of precision” that can be used in conjunction with creative programs to create a more seamless experience. When this PC hits the market, it will retail starting at $2,999. [Purchase]
