Camera phones keep getting better and better, and this year Panasonic really looks to bridge the gap between smartphone and high-end point-and-shoot cameras with the stateside release of their Panasonic Lumix CM1 Camera Phone.
What makes this phone so awesome, you ask? It features a a 1-inch, 20 megapixel sensor alongside a f/2.8 Leica lens, a setup that would rival some of your favorite point-and-shoots. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon processor, features 2GB of RAM, and runs on Android. The 4.7-inch 1080p display unit was unveiled at the 2015 Press Conference, and Panasonic plans on selling the phone completely unlocked, which of course means it would work on both AT&T and T-Mobile. As far as price is concerned, it is a bit steep. The phone should be hitting the retail scene with a sticker price close to $1,000.
