If you enjoy watching animals in their natural environments, particularly reindeer, than this Norwegian Wild Reindeer Centre Pavilion is a must visit destination.
Designed specifically for observing reindeer in their natural habitat, this rustic contemporary pavilion is constructed from rippled timber, and has been outfitted with a sleek suspended furnace to keep visitors warm in the freezing temperatures. The reindeer was an endangered species at the turn of the 20th century, but thanks to charities like the Wild Reindeer Foundation (the sponsor for this pavilion), the species was able to make a strong comeback. The building’s floor to ceiling windows offer stunning views of the Dovre Mountains, and was designed by the team at Snohetta Architects. If you are looking to visit the 90 square meter facility, you best dress warm, as this thing is located at the end of a 1.5 kilometer hiking trail.
