Sometimes you just want to get away from all of the hustle and bustle. Escape the concrete jungle, disconnect from all gadgetry, and enjoy a nice stay in the middle of the wilderness. That was Scott Newkirk’s exact thought process as he built this completely off the grid New York cabin.
The prominent fashion designer wanted a cozy place to call home during the summer months, and that’s what we have here in this 14×14 feet cabin built entirely of reclaimed wood. The home is located in Yulan, New York, and is surrounded by nothing but trees and fresh air. He uses the dwelling during the summer months to clear his mind, and has even rid the cabin of everything technology based, from digital clocks and computers to running water and electricity. This is the perfect place to unwind. [via Inthralld]
