Growing up as kids Super Mario Bros. was easily our favorite Nintendo video game. The greatest gift our parents could give us would be to transform our room into a scene right from the game. While we were never so lucky, Dustin Carpenter’s daughter was.
The Green Bay based dad decided to turn his daughter’s bedroom into a Super Mario infused oasis. The detail is on point with this project, and showcases many of the game’s most popular characters including Goombas, Boo the ghost, Bowser, Mario himself, and many more. The best part though? With a flip of a switch (a Nintendo controller switch at that), the room will start playing the iconic Super Mario Bros theme song. The room took Dustin Carpenter about 70 hours to build, and set him back about $700. Watch the video below to see some of the interactive portions of the kid’s bedroom.
