Paul McCartney’s $495,000 1964 Aston Martin DB5
INVehicles BY Staff
This beautiful piece of machinery once belonged to famed ex-Beatle member Paul McCartney, and the 1964 Aston Martin DB5 was recently sold for a staggering $495,000 at the RM Auction’s Battersea Evolution event in London.
The vehicle is said to be the first Aston Martin ever owned by McCartney, and has been kept in absolute pristine condition over the years. The vehicle was purchased by McCartney back in 1964 before the Beatles hit the road to tour, and was kept for approximately 6 years and 40,000 miles. The Sierra Blue colored coupe is packed with a 280 horsepower motor, a Motorola radio, an all black interior, and best of all a Philips Auto-Mignon record player to allow the owner spin classic vinyls while cruising the boulevard.
