With the video game industry continuing to see record breaking revenue and profit numbers year over year, development companies are started to get much more creative with their marketing choices as we can see here in this butcher shop created to promote Resident Evil 6.
Avid gamers need no introduction, but for those of you not overly familiar with the game it’s essentially a survival third person shooter developed by Capcom. To help promote the recent October 2nd release date for the title, Capcom turned the Smithfield Meat Market in East London into a gruesome Resident Evil inspired butcher shop they called Wesker & Son. Utilizing the services of food artists Sharon Baker, Tongue ‘N Cheek, and Homemade Hampers, there were plenty of edible human body parts being served up, and Loading Bar was offering drinks to wash the guts down this past weekend. The best part is that all the proceeds from the meat sales over this past weekend were donated to the Limbless Association.
