Heading out on a nightly bike ride is dangerous work. Drivers are bad enough during the day, so add in the fact that they can barely see and you are simply asking for trouble. Unfortunately for some of us it’s the only option, so we are always looking for ways to make the commute more safe.
Earlier this week we featured the Bicycle Lane Tail Light, and now we take a look at something a bit more economical in a product known as the Monocle. The device is a synthetic webbing attaching to your belt, that paired with the iPhone app, turns your smartphone camera flash into a red light that will alert drivers they have company on the road. Check out the project now on Kickstarter.
