Hover vehicles are something we often fantasize about it, but rarely ever see them take form in the real world. Australian inventor Chris Malloy looks to make our fantasies a reality with the newly developed Hoverbike.
Operating on the same principle as a hovercraft, this vehicle takes on the form of a bike complete with handle bar based speed and direction controls just like you would find on a standard motorcycle or bike. The carbon fiber constructed contraption comes equipped with a 4 stroke BMW boxer engine delivering 107 horsepower to the propellers. The bike can reach heights up to 10,000 feet and speeds of 173 miles per hour, and gets 92 miles to a tank at a cruising speed of 92 miles per hour.
